Today is the Melbourne Cup.It is a race for the jockeys and horses. The winning horse owner gets money . Our class decided to make hats for the melbourne cup. We have some great hats. I made a fascinater. I brought some of it and decorated it with other things. there is a prize for the best hat. We also drew names of horses out of a hat. I got septimus its odds are $4.50 and is favourite to win but closely behind is MadRush on $5.50. But you never know who will win everybody has a chance. there are 24 horses and two have been scratched. They are zarita and yellow stone. sadly they cant race but hopefully they will be better next year. the Jockeys and the horse have worked really hard to get here so they should all enjoy the race and they all have a chance.
