Literacy block

One day a girl called Maria was doing her homework when her dog Cody started barking. Maria was at home by herself so she went to see what was wrong.Cody hard been barking at two other dogs that had walked past. Maria then decided to take Cody for a walk. On the way down to the park Maria saw an ice cream van and decided to get an icecream. While Maria was getting her ice cream she had forgotten about Cody. Cody then saw the same dogs walk past again and he ran as fast as he could to get to the dogs. Mean while Maria was finishing paying for her ice cram when she noticed Cody was not beside her. She was so upset she didnt know what to do.She started to walk home because she knew she had no chance of getting cody back. But as she started to walk back home she heard a man say ''Hey is this your dog''? Maria spun round and saw a man standing about ten metres behind her with a dog that looked like cody. Maria ran as fast as she could to to who she thought was Cody and it was. She was so happy. She then said thankyou to the man and took cody home. That night when she was eating dinner with her family she decided not to tell them about Cody running away because she was so glad the man had found her dog. She decided never to take Cody for a walk again.
